We are currently (March 19) a group of seven Churches but things look likely to alter from September 2019 with the amalgamation of our circuit with the High Peak Methodist Circuit and the Whaley Bridge Uniting. Plenty still needs to be done to make this happen but it seems likely that the new Circuit may be called "High Peak Partnership" with joint Superintendents the Rev Keith Sandow and Rev Andrew Parker.
The Buxton Circuit has already had its last Circuit meeting where it was agreed to hold a Circuit Service with a Bring and Share lunch for the whole Circuit on Sunday 18th August, 10.30 am at Buxton. This would be to celebrate the past whilst looking forward to the future. People are invited to bring photos etc for display.
A celebration to mark the beginning of the new Circuit is to be on Sunday 15th September more details still to be arranged.
Our Sunday worship is varied with our local preachers supporting Andrew and the circuit. More information on each Church can be found from the "Churches" page link above.
Andrew also produces "Circuit Links" bringing together aspects of current circuit life. You can find this under the "PEOPLE AND CONTACTS" button above.
Each of our Churches and their communities face different challenges including pockets of rural deprivation as well as social deprivation in parts of the Fairfield Estate. Details of Sunday Services can be found at the "Services and Events" link above
If you visit any of our Churches you will be made most welcome.
